C. S. Lewis images by Arthur Strong
Clive Staples Lewis, better known as C. S. Lewis was an author and inspirational writer. He was born November 29, 1898, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and died November 22, 1963, in Oxford. He was a British author, theologian, poet, and academic, best known for his book series The Chronicles of Narnia.
Arthur Strong was the only professional photographer invited by Lewis to take his picture. Three of Strong’s portraits can be found at the National Portrait Gallery in London. There are five images available.
